Geotherm is the largest private drilling and exploitation company in Romania, with over 70 years of experience in exploration and prospecting activities.

Geotherm integrates high professional standards and perform in oil and gas drilling, geothermalwater wells, repairs, mud logging and other related services and assistance. Geotherm alsoprovides thermal energy from the exploitation of geothermal water.

In 1964 the company accomplished the first drilling work for geothermal water supply inRomania. Up to present more than 247 geothermal water wells - depths ranging from 1,000 to 3,500m (over 355,000m) and 450 – 1200C for research and production, were drilled in allsuitable areas of the country (Calimanesti city, Caciulata city – Olt Valley, Valcea county –district; Snagov commune, Ilfov Agricultural District; Otopeni commune, Ilfov Agricultural District;Sanicolaul Mare city, Timis county).

Geotherm supplied geothermal energy equating 5100 tons of oil per year, in the benefit of 10cities and villages. The cost of geothermal energy was about 30% of the cost of conventionalenergy.

The company has a Geothermal Division in charge with the geological research, the drilling,testing and development works and current exploitation of the geothermal water reservoirs. Onefifth of the total of 97 geothermal water wells is supplying the thermal energy for variousbeneficiaries, energy to be used for heating, sanitary water, greenhouse heating, aquacultureand spa-therapy.
